CYF:66-2107-1117211 - Dysgu ac arholiadau ar-lein
Dy sylw: Teaching should be optionally hybrid. I know the university wants to return to in-person teaching, which I agree with, however there should be a hybrid option for those who aren't able to make it, or would prefer to attend the session remotely. For example, instead of using Panopto to record the videos, lectueres could instead create a Teams broadcast, so that the in-person lecture is also transmitted over Teams. (given the current capability of the lecturing PC's, it would be a relatively easy switch from a technical perspective.) Attendance tracking should be based on in-person attendance, and Teams-call attendance. I'm all for MOPS and stuff, but I personally don't always learn better from sitting in a lecture hall, it largely depends on the topic and sort of content. Likewise, in-person exams are horrible. I absolutely despise them on every level. I'm a high-performing student, achieving mostly firsts in modules, and I really find that in-person exams really harm my performance, and I know for a fact this is a feeling shared by many students. The anxiety, and pressure, of being placed into a silent exam hall, with hundreds of other students, with unseen questions, is a situation that makes it incredibly hard to achieve maximum potential. Not only is it a harsher environment, its highly unrealistic. Please, on behalf of all the students who perform better not-in-exams, keep exams online/not in an exam hall. It's better for everyone, and would make the experience so much better.

Diolch am eich sylwadau am yr amgylchedd addysgu a dysgu ac am egluro sut mae'r newidiadau dros y flwyddyn a hanner diwethaf wedi effeithio ar eich profiad. Mae llawer o hyn yn cael ei adolygu ar raddfa eang, fel y gallwch ddychmygu, ac mae sawl menter eisoes ar waith gan amrywiol adrannau ar ddull ‘dysgu cyfunol’ o addysgu. Ni fydd hyn yn cael ei safoni ar draws y Brifysgol, gan fod gan wahanol gynlluniau a disgyblaethau wahanol anghenion a dulliau addysgu. Bydd llawer o adrannau'n symud ar-lein i gyflwyno addysg i grwpiau mawr, yn rhannol ar gais myfyrwyr, ond hefyd i geisio lliniaru'r problemau presennol gyda Covid. Un o'r cymhlethdodau i'w gadw mewn cof, fodd bynnag, yw ar yr un pryd ag y mae myfyrwyr sy'n mynegi dymuniad i barhau i ddysgu ar lein am rannau o'u gradd, mae eraill sy'n gadarn yn erbyn hynny. Bydd angen i adrannau wneud llawer o benderfyniadau am ddichonoldeb, effeithlonrwydd a gwerth addysgegol unrhyw ddarpariaeth ar-lein wrth ddatblygu darpariaeth y dyfodol. Byddwn yn dal i fonitro presenoldeb ac mae'r Brifysgol yn edrych ar ffyrdd amgen o barhau gyda hyn yn y dyfodol.
O ran arholiadau, mae rhai cyrff proffesiynol sy'n dyfarnu achrediadau yn gofyn bod y pynciau'n cynnal y fformat ffurfiol sy'n golygu bod yn bresennol mewn neuadd arholi dawel . Nid oes gan y Brifysgol ryddid i newid y fformat hwnnw ar gyfer myfyrwyr y pynciau hynny. Wedi dweud hynny, mae llawer o ystyriaethau sy'n gofyn sylw wrth benderfynu ar batrwm asesu ar gyfer gwahanol raddau, ac mae llawer o adrannau’n ystyried fformatau amgen ar gyfer arholiadau sy’n amrywio’r fformat mwy traddodiadol a amlinellir uchod.
