Overview
Mosaic has been associated with mental health and wellness linked to this art form. The technique and skills require the brain to function and block other worries. Students will be making a small plaque on a wooden substrate to create a mosaic and learn about the history of mosaics. You will be using the technique of pique assiette; mixing found objects within your mosaic
Programme
Unlike other mosaic courses I focus on the design and tone of your mosaic. If your design isn’t good, it won’t be a good mosaic! Mosaics can be used for splashbacks behind sinks, pan trivets, pictures pavers or for the garden. Wherever you will be displaying it will determine the approach.
