Overview
This course will cover a variety of approaches, materials and methods for depicting a wide range of seaweed types, their colours, forms and unique characteristics. Demonstrations will be given covering tonal and linear drawing, watercolour and mixed media techniques and seaweed pressing as we work towards creating our own Seaweed Study book. Individual advice and assistance will be given throughout the course which is suitable for those new to art as well as with experience. We will also find out more about this fascinating subject and the benefits of Seaweed to Society as it is becoming an important plant extract for many new processes - both nutritional and commercial resources.
This course will also be supported with online video demonstrations and handouts.
