Profile
Jemma’s 20+ year career in academic research has focussed on heritage, archaeology and land-use management. She most recently co-authored a Net Zero Carbon policy paper for DEFRA for the NERC-funded Landscape Decisions Programme.
Her professional interests focus around third sector and community development, co-production, policy engagement, project management, education and curriculum development, GIS and digital mapping, research, publishing and editing.
She is currently working with the THINK transport research network based at Aberystwyth University in her role as Development Officer at PACTO. She is investigating ways that community transport can transition to low carbon transport solutions.
Jemma’s work has taken her all over Europe but she is a native of West Wales and is lucky enough to live by the sea in rural Ceredigion. She volunteers with the local RNLI lifeboat and is a Rescue Officer with HM Coastguard.
