Academy Mini Conference 2021

In 2021 the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit hosted two Mini-Conferences to provide a platform for sharing good practice.

Mini Conference: March 2021: Embedding Well-being in the Curriculum

On Thursday 25th Marchthe Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit hosted the first Academy Mini-Conference of that academic year. The theme was Embedding Well-being in the Curriculum, where we explored the links between well-being and learning and strategies which could help to maximise success for both students and staff.

The three strands for this mini conference were:

  • Recognising barriers to student well-being
  • Building resilience in students
  • Encouraging students to flourish

Mini Conference December 2021: Using Polling Software to Enhance Learning and Teaching Activities

The Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit hosted the second Mini Conference of 2021 on Thursday 16th December, online via Teams.

We took a look at polling software – a tool that can be used to engage students in their learning and drive-up understanding of complex topics. The University procured Vevox, an online polling tool, that is fully integrated in Teams and can make your face to face activities interactive.

Booking for the one-day event is already open – book online.
