Blwyddyn 3 Opsiynau
Students must take Land Law / Cyfraith Tir and Equity and Trusts / Ecwiti a Chyfraith Ymddiriedau at either level 2 (Year 3) or level 3 (Final year) of the M10F degree scheme. Level 2 and Level 3 versions of each module are mutually exclusive.
Blwyddyn 3 Opsiynau
If students wish to take all six SQE optional modules in the final year of the degree schemes, because they wish to aim to qualify as solicitors through the SQE route, then they should take Land Law / Cyfraith Tir and Equity and Trusts / Ecwiti a Chyfraith Ymddiriedau in Year 3. If students do not take Land Law / Cyfraith Tir and Equity and Trusts / Ecwiti a Chyfraith Ymddiriedau in Year 3 of the degree scheme, then they will not be able to take all six SQE optional modules in the final year and they will therefore not be able to take modules which cover all functioning legal knowledge for SQE 1.

Students may take 20 credits (of the 80, 100 or 120) as elective modules outside of the Department (subject to the approval of both departments). Appropriate co-requisite and/or pre-requisite modules must have been studied. For students starting their degree in 2019, 2020 or 2021 who wish to obtain a ‘Qualifying Law Degree’ in order to qualify as a solicitor via the LPC route or as a barrister, Human Rights (which is available at Level 2 and Level 3 and runs in alternate years) will be necessary as part of the 180 credits of ‘Foundation of Legal Knowledge’ subjects.

In relation to the six SQE modules available in the final year, students should take all six SQE modules, three in semester 1 and three in semester 2, if they wish to aim to qualify as solicitors through the SQE route once they have graduated. This is only possible if students have taken Land Law / Cyfraith Tir and Equity and Trusts / Ecwiti a Chyfraith Ymddiriedau in Year 2 of the degree schemes. Other students may take up to four of the SQE modules, or up to five SQE modules if they have taken Land Law / Cyfraith Tir or Equity and Trusts / Ecwiti a Chyfraith Ymddiriedau in Year 2.
Blwyddyn Olaf Opsiynau
Students should note the pre-requisite modules for LC31720 Trusts, Wills and the Administration of Estates and Trusts (Equity and Trusts / Ecwiti a Chyfraith Ymddiriedau) and LC31820 Property Law and practice (Land Law / Cyfraith Tir)
