We offer a variety of options and locations to find the space that works for you, with the majority of our residences being only a short walk from campus.

Guaranteed accommodation 

We guarantee University-managed accommodation for all first-year students*.  

Free Sports Centre Membership  

As a resident in our University-managed accommodation, you will receive free Platinum gym membership to the University’s Sports Centre, giving you access to all of the facilities, and fitness and wellness classes.  

Wide range of accommodation options  

Each residence has its own distinctive character, offering you a safe and secure environment in which to socialise, study and relax. Our accommodation options include studios, self-catered or catered halls, and en-suite rooms or flats with shared facilities.
We also have dedicated accommodation for students who are Welsh speakers or learners. We offer a range of licence lengths to suit different courses, and all of our accommodation is within walking distance to academic and campus facilities.  

Hassle-free living  

While living in our accommodation, there is no need to worry about fluctuating bills as the accommodation fees include utilities, wifi, and a high level of personal contents insurance. Our residents have access to 24/7 help and assistance, including a staffed reception. Located near to our accommodation options are our 24/7 learning centers, which are open spaces dedicated for group work studying. As soon as you arrive, our Residences team will welcome you into your new home and our campus community.

Our Accommodation conforms to the Universities UK Code of Practice for University Managed Student Accommodation. The University subscribes to the Universities UK Student Accommodation Code which has been established to protect your rights to safe, good-quality accommodation, wherever you are studying and to ensure that you get the best out of your time living in our accommodation.

Information for Undergraduate Applicants

New undergraduate students are guaranteed a place in University owned or managed accommodation for their first year of study at Aberystwyth University, provided you apply by the appropriate deadline date in the year of entry:

  • Undergraduate students: 1 September
  • If you apply to study at the University through Clearing: 1 September

To qualify for guaranteed University accommodation you must also respond to your offer of accommodation by the deadline date detailed in the Accommodation Offer.

A place in University owned or managed accommodation is guaranteed, but not a specific type of room or location.

Information for Postgraduate Applicants

Please note: We offer a variety of licence lengths to suit you, but please be aware that the longest length of stay we can offer is 50 weeks.

*To qualify for a guaranteed place applicants must ensure that their accommodation application is received by the 1st September in the year of entry and that they respond to the offer of accommodation by the deadline date detailed in the Accommodation Offer. Please note that a place in university-owned or managed accommodation is guaranteed, but not a specific type of room or location.
