When should applications for PhD courses be made?

Aberystwyth University accepts applications for postgraduate study throughout the year.  However, applicants for research programmes should look to make their applications as early as possible, and most applicants will make their applications in the period between November and January.   

If you intend to apply for a particular source of funding or scholarship, remember that the UK Research Councils also have their own deadlines. If you are looking to apply for such funding then you should pay particular attention to these deadlines, as in most cases you need to be holding an offer before you can apply for funding.
