Foundation

International Foundation Certificate

30-week: Senior High School Leaving Certificate / 高級中學畢業證書
Candidates who narrowly miss the academic entry requirements may be considered subject to interview.
IELTS: for UKVI 4.5 - 5.0 depending on the pathway selected.

15-week: Senior High School Leaving Certificate / 高級中學畢業證書
Candidates who narrowly miss the academic entry requirements may be considered subject to interview.
IELTS: for UKVI 5.0-5.5 depending on the pathway selected.

Applicants must have an IELTS for UKVI or Trinity College SELT from a UK government approved test centre in order to get a CAS / Tier 4 Visa for a Foundation Course in the UK. Contact tesol@aber.ac.uk

Undergraduate

Direct entry:

Senior High School Leaving Certificate / 高級中學畢業證書 AND International Foundation Programme.
A-Levels (104-128 UCAS points)
International Baccalaureate (28 - 32 points)

Postgraduate

Generally, the minimum entry requirement for most taught masters courses is the equivalent (see below) of a lower second class honours degree (2.2). However, some departments may require upper second class honours degrees (2.1) (e.g. Department of International Politics) or relevant work experience.

English Requirement

IELTS score of at least 6.0 - 7.5

If you require help or assistance with your English then our International English Centre will be pleased to offer assistance and guidance. The Centre offers an intensive full-time course available before you commence your degree and provides ongoing support throughout the duration of your studies.

Vice Chancellor's Entrance Scholarship (Undergraduate)	The Vice Chancellor’s Entrance Scholarship offers up to £6,000 in tuition discounts, with £2,000 per year for the top 20% of students who pass two exams. "The best thing about Aberystwyth University is that I experienced a friendly and positive learning environment. It is the best place for an international student as the faculty staffs are so kind to provide support. I chose to go to Aber because I like being part of a diverse student body. The world is a big place, and I thought attending a big school would better prepare me for life in the real world. Also, Aber has a very strong school of social sciences, and I wanted to study under the best minds in the country. It also offered the specialization I was seeking, and I wanted to fast-track my education. My favorite moments in Aber are sitting by the sea enjoying fish and chips, and also having brunch in cafes.
