Entry Requirements

Undergraduate

National Certificates in Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 with Merit overall.

Postgraduate

You will be required to have a relevant Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution, with grade equal to UK 2.2 standard or above to qualify for Aberystwyth University's postgraduate taught programmes. You can find a breakdown of the grades below.

English Requirements

If you are a New Zealand national, you do not need to provide proof of your knowledge of English.

Please note each course will require specific entry grades from the qualifications highlighted above. Some courses may also require an additional portfolio or interview.

Vice Chancellor's Entrance Scholarship

(Undergraduate)

The Vice Chancellor’s Entrance Scholarship offers up to £6,000 in tuition discounts, with £2,000 per year for the top 20% of students who pass two exams. The remaining 80% receive £2,000 for the first year only. See our Vice Chancellor's Entrance Scholarship page for more information.

This award gives a £1,000 tuition fee discount to any international fee-paying students who spent a period of time studying with us as an associate student.
