Tuition Fees

Tuition fees cover the cost of your study at university. Fees include charges for things like your tuition, examinations and graduation.

You can get loans and grants to help you pay your tuition fees and living costs. Our  has more information regarding what loans and grants you may be eligible for.

Fee information for Home UK students

The tuition fees for home students have not yet been confirmed by the Welsh Government for new students starting from September 2022. New students starting their course in September 2021 were charged £9,000. Tuition fees for Home (UK) apply to UK applicants domiciled in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

The UK and Welsh Governments have confirmed that EU students commencing their studies in the academic year 2021/22 will no longer be eligible for home fee status. Fees for EU students will therefore be charged in line with international fees from 2021/22 onwards.


 

Fee information for international students (including EU)

Please note Irish nationals will continue to be eligible for home fee status and support by the Welsh Government under the Common Travel Area arrangement.

We are delighted to provide our international students with the Aberystwyth International Accommodation Award, meaning the cost of your housing is included in your tuition fees. For more information on this please see International Accommodation Award.  In addition, your fees will remain the same for the duration of your course.

Please note if you are an EU student and started your course in 2020-21 or earlier, you will continue to pay the same fees as home students for the duration of your course and existing rules around financial support and home fees will still apply.
