"I inspect egg production sites alongside egg packing centres and egg wholesale premises and enforce various regulations including the Eggs and Chicks (England) regulations, Welfare of Farmed Animals Regulations and Food Hygiene Regulations. My course helped me by giving me an insight into the farming industry alongside an in depth knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the animals I work with on a daily basis. The course strengthened my desire to work in the farming industry and gave me the confidence as a person to take on an enforcement role. Doing Animal Science at Aberystwyth University was the best decision of my life – it has moulded me into the person I am today. During my time at Aber the course‌‌ helped me decide what I enjoyed most (the practical field work) ‌which is why I took on a field job after leaving. I would definitely recommend‌ Aber as a great university!‌"
