Animal Behaviour

Jessica Horner, Ecological Intern, Ecologistas en Acción Sevilla in Seville, Spain

BSc Animal Behaviour

"I am currently interning for an environmental group in Seville where my responsibilities are maintenance of an allotment and medicinal plant garden, cultivation of plants, care of livestock, extraction of seeds to create phylogenetic banks and I also produce 100% natural products using plants from the garden to create soaps, essential oils and lotions.
My course provided me with knowledge of conservation strategies both in the UK and internationally. I was introduced to the concept of sustainability and was given the opportunity to work in the field.
Studying BSc Animal Behaviour at Aberystwyth University has allowed me to gain employment in the conservation field and given me a real passion to continue my studies at postgraduate level.
My course deepened my interest in the field and gave me the confidence to seek employment outside of the UK. I would recommend this course to all that are considering it and am really enjoying the opportunities graduating from this course has allowed me."
