Jisc Digital Capabilities [Skills] Framework
We closely follow Jisc’s Digital Capabilities [Skills] framework here at Aberystwyth. The framework identifies six main elements which make up different aspects of a person’s digital skills.
Jisc Digital Skills Curriculum Mapping
Jisc have developed a Curriculum Mapping document to help academic staff integrate digital skills into their curriculum. This document aligns closely with Jisc’s Digital Capabilities [Skills] Framework and Learner Profile, ensuring that students develop the necessary digital skills and practices.
Jisc Learner Profile
Jisc have developed a Students in Higher Education Profile to illustrate to staff how students might utilise their digital skills as they advance through their studies and prepare for their future careers.

Jisc Technology Mapping
To support staff with embedding digital skills within the curriculum, Jisc have developed a Technology Mapping document. This document supports staff to identify the various tools needed to meet the six main elements outlined in their Jisc Digital Capabilities [Skills] Framework.
IS Digital Essentials for Teaching
The IS Digital Essentials for Teaching is a Blackboard site designed to support new teaching and professional services staff at Aberystwyth University with key advice and resources from Information Services. If you cannot access the course, please email the Digital Skills Team at digi@aber.ac.uk.
