6th Davies Forum - What will Germany’s new coalition government mean for Germany, Europe, and the world?’
15 November 2013
The DDMI and International Politics Research Group were pleased to host the 6th Davies Forum on Monday 9 December in the Main Hall of the International Politics Building. The speakers were Professor Björn Weiler from the Department of History & Welsh History, and Drs Claudia Hillebrand and Alistair Shepherd and PhD Candidate Robert Kammel from the Department of International Politics.
Each speaker gave a short presentation on different aspects of the topic: ‘What will Germany’s new coalition government mean for Germany, Europe, and the world?’ The presentations were followed by a question and answer session involving the audience, and discussion between the presenters.
The event was open to all undergraduate and graduate students and staff. It was an interesting debate about the government and future direction of what is arguably the most important country in Europe. The event was also an example of DDMI-driven co-operation within the structure of the new Aberystwyth University Institute of Geography, History, and Politics.
