Michele Presacane appointed as 'Health Champion'

Aberystwyth University has recently appointed Michele Presacane as ‘Health Champion’ whose role will be to promote the health and well-being of staff members across the University. Michele graduated at Aberystwyth University with a first class BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Science. He also completed an MSc in Exercise and Health Research at Aberystwyth University. In addition to this he worked part time at the University Sports Centre and local clubs and supported charity events such as the 2013 Cerddwn Ymlaen.
The post’s aim will be to address various physical and psychological issues related to health and well-being. This will be achieved by providing staff members with new and easily accessible services such as monthly health checks, health and well-being consultations, access to seminars, a wide range of physical activities, events and sign posting.
Pro-vice chancellor John Grattan has been the first person to go through a set of tests designed as a basic M.O.T. check on health. These tests will be offered free of charge to all members of staff.
