Outreach and Impact

Farmer discussing innovation with students

At IBERS, we believe in the power of knowledge exchange to transform lives, communities and the environment.

Knowledge exchange (KE) is embedded across our research – from specific grant requirements to our wider remit as a BBSRC institute. Put simply, KE ensures our research reaches the people who need it, creating real-world impact while feeding valuable insight back into our ongoing science.

Through engaging outreach programmes, we strive to inspire the next generation of scientists, foster scientific curiosity, and promote environmental stewardship. From hands-on workshops to interactive educational resources, we endeavour to make science accessible and exciting for all.

Everything we do has some form of outreach or impact but our  and  focus solely on combining science with society, where we can aim for a brighter, more sustainable future for all and where knowledge sparks change.
