Y Ddraig is launched

In a meeting held at the Urdd Eisteddfod in Glynllifon, an edition of Y Ddraig, the Welsh Department’s literary magzine was launched. The magazine was edited by first year students from the department. The guest speaker was the Urdd’s Chief Executive and Aberystwyth University alumnus, Efa Gruffudd Jones. In congratulating the students on their work, she also encouraged them to continue to write and to edit literary material, as the demand for Welsh graduates who are able to work confidently and correctly through the medium of Welsh is extremely high.
