Help and Support

As part of the support that you will receive during your time with us, you will have support from a Personal Tutor. The tutor will support you throughout your degree course, and will help you with both academic and personal matters. You are welcome to contact your tutor whenever you need assistance.

You will also have the support of an Academic Tutor to help you through the medium of Welsh, and we provide a specific Second Language Tutor, a peer mentoring scheme, and a regular informal session over a cuppa. In addition, UMCA (the union for Aberystwyth's Welsh students) brings Welsh-speakers together during a variety of social, musical, charity and sports events throughout the academic year.

It is this combination that ensures that the Department of Welsh and Celtic Studies is known as a friendly and supportive place to study.
