New Welsh Degree Scheme

It has been announced that a new Welsh degree scheme will be available at Aberystwyth University from 2011. Students accepted on the new BA Cymraeg Proffesiynol scheme will be given the opportunity to develop their language skills in a variety of professional contexts, and will receive specialist tuition from staff in the Department in subjects such as simultaneous translation, creative writing, editing and publishing, and studying and promoting Welsh heritage.

Prospective students applying for a place on this new course should usually have achieved an 'A' grade in Welsh (First Language) at A level. Applicants are welcome to apply for Q560 Welsh (First Language) and Q5PO Cymraeg Proffesiynol at the same time.
