'In Search of Celtic Tylis’ – The Welsh Department and Bulgaria

On the 8th of May 2010 two members of staff from the Welsh Department will travel to Bulgaria to contribute to an interdisciplinary colloquium held in the National Institute of Archaeology with Museum (NIAM) in Sofia.
The ‘In Search of Celtic Tylis’ conference has been arranged by NIAM, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Department of Welsh, Aberystwyth University. Dr Simon Rodway, a lecturer in the Department, will present a paper on ‘Celtic – Definitions, Problems and Controversies’ and Dr Alexander Falileyev, an AHRC Research Fellow, will present a paper on ‘Ancient Place-Names of the Eastern Balkans: Defining Celtic Areas’.
