Aberystwyth Open Days

Why come to an Open Day at Aberystwyth?

The best way to discover everything Aberystwyth University has to offer is by visiting us at an Open Day. Our Open Days give you the opportunity to meet our staff and students and learn more about our courses.

Register your interest in our events.

Here are 5 reasons why you should visit us at an Open Day.

  1. See the campus and our accommodation

Take a tour of the campus with our student ambassadors and find out exactly where you’ll be living and studying. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit one of the largest Arts Centres in Wales, our on-campus Sports Centre and newly renovated Library. View our accommodation options and take a look around to see which one you like best.

  1. Chat to staff

Chat to our support, admissions and academic staff. An Open Day is an opportunity to ask questions and get answers which will help you decide which course and university is right for you. It’s also a great opportunity to find out what support is available to you once you start.

  1. Chat to students

Learn more about student life at Aberystwyth by chatting to our ambassadors, and find out why we’re proud to be placed top in Wales for student satisfaction for the 9th year running (National Student Survey 2024). Our ambassadors are all current students so it’s a great way to get an honest opinion of what life is like as a student here.

  1. Learn more about our courses

Visit different academic departments to learn about our wide range of courses. Hear about what you’ll be studying from the lecturers that will be teaching you, and get an understanding of why we were placed top 3 in the UK for teaching quality and student experience (Good University Guide 2024, The Times and Sunday Times).

  1. Learn more about our location

Take time to explore the town and our local area and see for yourself why so many of our students love our location. Aberystwyth is situated on the west coast of Wales between the mountains and the sea, and our students spend their spare time exploring the local area and socialising in our welcoming, inclusive and vibrant student town. This is your place to explore your interests and grow, both academically and personally.
