Psychology hosts International Women's day

International Women's Day

To mark International Women’s Day, Aberystwyth University will be hosting a wide variety of events for students, staff and the local community, with the theme “Visibility”.

Events are taking place between 6th March and 9th March and include mentoring and taster sessions, displays, discussions, readings, sports activities, a quiz, trails and talks from both internal and external speakers.

Dr Rachel Horsley, the coordinator of the events and a lecturer in psychology, explains: “This is a way of celebrating the progress and achievements of women in a fun and enjoyable way. There is a healthy mixture of events taking place over the four days, with the majority of them taking place on Friday 8 March to coincide with the day itself.
