The 2015 General Election: What Happened?

The Institute of Welsh Politics at Aberystwyth University, in collaboration with the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research, Data & Methods (WISERD), will host a seminar on Thursday 18th June at 5.00pm in the Department of International Politics entitled, ‘The 2015 General Election: What Happened?’.
The keynote speaker will be Professor Roger Scully from the Wales Governance Centre, Cardiff University. Professor Scully has strong links to Aberystwyth University, having previously worked in the Department of International Politics for over ten years, and is one of the leading academic experts on elections and polling.
Speaking before the event, Dr Anwen Alias, current Director of the Institute of Welsh Politics at Aberystwyth University who will also chair the event explained ““We are all looking forward to welcoming Professor Roger Scully back to Aberystwyth and to the Department of International Politics, and especially to hear his analysis of what happened at the last General Election. Why were the results so surprising and how did the polls really get it so wrong?”
