Mathematics with Foundation Year

Available for entry from September 2015, the Department now offers a foundation year in Mathematics.The foundation year provides an entry into degree-level mathematics for those without the usual qualifications in mathematics. Examples include mature students who did not study mathematics at A-level, and those wishing to change their career paths. Suitable for those without the appropriate requirements for our other degrees, the foundation year uses small group teaching to cover the necessary mathematical background. After completing the foundation year, students follow the single honours Mathematics scheme, leading to a BSc (Hons) qualification in four years.
