Equine worming programme advisor

"After completing a BSc in Equine Science also at Aberystwyth University, I then went on to carry out an MSc in Animal Science. Following completion of the taught part of the course I carried out a dissertation in conjunction with a company called Intelligent Worming based in South Wales. This partnership was developed through the Access to Masters Scheme on which I had a place. This project involved the use of molecular genetics to look at the change in the microbial populations present before and after worming. Following this, I gained employment with Intelligent Worming as an Equine Programme Advisor.  I work writing worming programmes for horses taking into account their management and faecal egg counts and advises horse owners on the best worming practice for their horses."
