Binding

This service is available to Aberystwyth University Staff and Students in support of the academic aims of the University.

We can print and soft or hard bind personal copies of your dissertation or thesis.

When your bound work is ready, you can collect from the Hugh Owen enquiry desk, or we can post the bound work to you.

How this service works:

Complete the form below and attach a PDF of your work
On receipt of your PDF, we will calculate the cost for:
- Printing
- Binding
- Spine labels (if applicable)
- Post and packing (if applicable)
We will email you:
- A job number
- The cost
- Details of how to make an on-line payment by credit or debit card via our webpage

Binding options are as follows

Soft binding	£3.00
These bindings have: a rigid steel spine a clear acetate front and back black leather-grain card inserted behind your document pages are attached to the spine of the binding with adhesive.
Spine labels	£1.00
Available where the document is 100 sheets or more	‌
Hard binding	£12.00
These bindings have hard covers [Black] Spine labels come as standard Please note: Only work 100 sheets and over can be hardbound. Documents of more than 325 pages will be bound in two volumes

Which type of binding do you require? Only work consisting of over 100 sheets can be hardbound. Work is usually printed single sided on 80gsm paper.

Hard bindingSoft binding

Do you want it printed in black and white or colour. If you choose colour you will only be charged for colour printing for the actual pages that have colour, everything else will be charged as black and white

Work over 325 sheets may need to be bound in more than one volume. Please advise where the work is to be split if there are more than 325 sheets.

Spine labels come as standard on hard bindings. If your soft binding is more than 100 pages you can include a spine label on a soft binding. Please confirm if required
