SCADA-Cyber Security Lifecycles Programme

The SCADA-Cyber Security Lifecycles programme of Airbus Group Endevr Wales is a joint research funding initiative of Airbus Group and the Welsh Government. This is a £1.2 million multi-disciplinary project conducted with Airbus Group, Cardiff University and the University of South Wales. This project has so far published ‘A Cyber Forensic Taxonomy for SCADA Systems in Critical Infrastructure’ for the 10th International Conference on Information Infrastructures Security, Berlin, Germany (2016), ‘UK cyber security and critical national infrastructure protection’ in International Affairs (2016),andLive Free or Die Hard: Cybersecurity, Governments, Corporations and Responses to threats to Critical National Infrastructure in the United States and UK’ which is being published in the Winter edition of the leading American journal Political Science Quarterly. Project’s 2015 article ‘A review of cyber security risk assessment methods for SCADA systems’ remains the most downloaded article of the leading computer science journal Computers & Security. Kris Stoddart’s role is to provide a social science perspective on the issues of the cyber security lifecycle and the protection of Critical National Infrastructure from cyber attacks.
