The War on Terror: Perspectives from the Global South

This conference, organised by CSRV,  considers relatively neglected but important perspectives on the War on Terror which emanate from the Global South.  The conference will focus on the militarisation of regions, such as Africa, Latin America, and Asia, and the way in which the War on Terror has been appropriated by regimes to further domestic agendas.  The impact of related counter-terror measures on local economies and political freedoms will also be explored.
