Degawd Datganoli / A Decade of Devolution

This conference marked an exact decade since the historical referendum for devolution in Wales. It gave an opportunity to look back over the key policy challenges and changes in the fields of education, health, economic devolpment, and community development, and to discuss the new politics seen within civil society in Wales, in the fields of the Welsh language and the developments regarding particiapaion and public opinion. The conference’s key note speech was given by the Rt Hon Rhodri Morgan, Wales’ First Minister, and other contributors included Professors David Reynolds, Scott Greer, Peter Midmore, Dave Adamson, Colin Williams, Laura McAllister, Roger Scully and Richard Wyn Jones and Dr Elin Royles. The concluding lecture was given by the eminent historian Dr John Davies.
