The People's Collection presented in Delhi

Lecturer Lucy Tedd presented a paper on the People’s Collection Wales at the International Conference on the Convergence of Libraries, Archives and  Museums held in Delhi, February 15th -17th  2011.

Lucy said,

“The People’s Collection is a great example of the ‘coming together’ of Libraries, Archives and  Museums”.

At short notice Lucy was also asked to talk about Institutional Repositories, and to chair the initial keynote speaker Dr. Dinesh Katre.

Almost a hundred papers were presented, with three past DIS students participating. Session themes covered a variety of topics including

• Libraries, Archives and Museums (LAMs) from collaboration to convergence;
• Social media for user empowerment;
• Information literacy;
• Digital libraries;
• Institutional repositories;
• and Digital preservation technologies
