A Century and more of Studying Wales!
Aberystwyth Arts Centre Cinema
12:30-14:00 – An event evaluating Aberystwyth University's contribution to studying and understanding Wales over a century and more. In addition to previous contributions, future studies within subjects such as Art, Geography and Earth Sciences and Theatre, Film and Television Studies will be showcased.

14:00-15:00: Inflatable planetarium and department tours with update.

13:30 – Drinks reception and presentation on the School of Education, Past and Present.
Department of Life Sciences
14:00-16:00 – An afternoon tea reception with talks focusing on the pioneering work of Gwendolen Rees and Kathleen Carpenter, current research in DLS and a tour of our facilities.
Theatre, Film and Television Studies - 50 Years of Drama
Parry Williams Building
14:40 – Department reception accompanied by discussions led by alumni. Tours of the department available throughout the weekend.
The TV studio will be set up to record interviews with alumni.

15:00 – Drinks reception and Anniversary Booklet launch accompanied by photographs and celebratory cake.
Department of Geography and Earth Sciences
14:30 – DGES will be offering an afternoon tea reception and a talk on recent developments in DGES teaching and research. Held in L3 the senior common room at the top of the tower.

13:00-14:00 – During this tour you will be introduced to our brilliant nursing team and their assistant Dai, the simulation mannequin who talks, perspires, coughs – the list is endless!
Our centre holds a dementia friendly status, which will be showcased throughout the tour through experience reminiscence therapy, age simulation suit and train carriage room demonstrations.
NEW Veterinary Education Centre

15:00-16:00 – Come and see the new Veterinary Education Centre at AU, made possible by support from AU alumni and the local community. The VEC is one of the main teaching sites for the new Veterinary Science course, the first in Wales, run jointly with the Royal Veterinary College. Senior lecturer Dr Sophie Regnault will lead a tour around the VEC facilities and tell us more about the veterinary course at AU & RVC.
