Malcolm Butler

Dr. Butler trained as a geologist and worked for over 25 years as an explorationist and senior executive in the worldwide oil and gas business.  In 1998 he joined HSBC Investment Bank as Advisory Director and took over responsibility for oil & gas corporate finance advisory work.  Since 2003 he has acted as senior adviser to Seymour Pierce Limited.  From 2007 he has been an adviser to Ironsides Partners.  He is also an advisor to the Pacific Alliance Group, a Hong Kong based private equity group, President of Waterloo Oil & Gas, LLC, an oil and gas exploration and production company working in Louisiana, and Chairman of two small EIS-based oil exploration companies working in the UK.
