Cathy Alexander
BSc Zoology 2013
Cathy works as a Biodiversity Monitoring Ranger for the Department of Conservation in New Zealand.
What are you doing now career-wise and how has your Aberystwyth Degree helped?
I studied Zoology when I was in Aber, and I became really interested in animal conservation after having several conservation modules in third year. My interest grew after that and I volunteered for a few conservation projects around the world which gave me the experience I needed for the job here in NZ. But this journey all started in Aber with the ground knowledge I received in third year.
