Carol Waggoner-Angleton
Carol graduated from Aber in 2010 with a degree in Library and Information Science. She now works as a Special Collections Assistant in Augusta State University, Georgia, USA.
What do you remember most about your time at Aber?
The study schools were absolutely the best time in my life. It was the closest I've ever been to being a traditional student; eat, sleep, class all day and great like-minded people to do it with. Heaven.
What are you doing now career-wise and how has your Aberystwyth degree helped?
I am the Special Collections Assistant at Reese Library, Augusta State University in Augusta, Georgia. While I am considered a paraprofessional here, my Aber degree led to a reclassification of my position with a £5000 pay raise in less then four years. I have also been offered a variety of continuing education opportunities and have been able to manage many interesting and detailed projects.
What advice would you have for a student doing your course now?
