I decided to study in Aberystwyth because it allowed me to tailor the course to my particular interests due to the wealthy range of different modules available to me. Moreover, I wanted to take part in the wide range of interesting educational visits that were associated with the course offered by Aberystwyth University. Another reason why I chose to study here was because Aberystwyth is such a lovely, compact town close to the sea, set in beautiful countryside. I felt at home at Aberystwyth due to the relaxed atmosphere, and due to the friendly and welcoming nature of the people.
I really enjoyed being part of the School of Management and Business. Everyone was so helpful, lecturers and tutors were excellent at providing information and were always eager to support their students. All students could easily approach any member of staff. I took the opportunity to be a member of ‘The Biz’, the main departmental society. Being a member of The Biz enabled me to make lifelong friends and it also provided me with the opportunity to take part in enterprise and business related events.
My time at Aberystwyth has been great. After completing my degree I was fortunate to be offered a permanent position on the general management graduate scheme with Network Rail where I intend to progress my career. In the future I am also considering continuing my studies, by means of completing a Masters degree in Business and Management.
