The learning outcomes of this programme are designed to meet the expectations of the benchmarking statement laid down by the QAA for Type 2 Masters awards in Business and Management. The programme provides opportunities for students to develop and demonstrate knowledge and understanding, skills, qualities and other attributes in the following areas:

A1- Define the key terms for business and management

A2- Describe the important concepts in business and management

A3- Identify the critical factors in business and management

A4- Explain the importance of strategy, accounting and finance, economics, risk, marketing and operations management to business and management business

A5- Classify companies or businesses according to business and organisational performance

A6- Apply the key concepts and formulae in strategy, accounting and finance, economics, marketing and management to business and entrepreneurship

A7- Choose competing alternatives and justify selection A8- Illustrate answers with relevant examples in the area of business studies

A9- The context of business within the business environment

A10- The context of management disciplines within the business environment

Again the core modules provide direct guidance to students on many transferable skills. An example is note-taking, time planning, essay writing and use of the www and e-mail in all Part One modules.
