On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
Identify, understand and interpret the content and skills requirements of their own subject from internal and external specifications and requirements.

Brief description
Within this module you will be given the opportunity to consider, in detail, the curricular and skills requirements within your subject area, in addition to policy and research guidance which contributes to the knowledge base in the field. By considering the pedagogical content knowledge, the professional values and standards, and the external qualification specifications and requirements, you will be given the opportunity to evaluate your own knowledge and skills and to develop ideas to enhance and improve your own practice. The importance of collaboration and partnerships will be emphasised and you will reflect upon the skills and experiences of colleagues within the same subject area. Consideration will be given to quality enhancement and development within the subject, as well as attention given to the opportunities and potential of sharing best practice across curricular boundaries.
