Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
1. produce a portfolio of work demonstrating thematic, stylistic, and very good technical coherence and quality (Aims: C, D, E, F, G, I, J)
2. produce a portfolio of work that demonstrates an ability beyond competence in the basic techniques of black and white photography and colour photography and competence in a range of materials related to photographic manipulation (Aims: A, B)
3. articulate the processes by which you have arrived at the final portfolio including reference to contemporary practice (Aims: C, D, H, I)

Outcomes 1-3 are assessed through tutorials and the final portfolio assessment
Brief description
The curriculum for Photography 3 AR21620 plus individual and group projects deal with various approaches to subject matter through technical and aesthetic analysis. To reinforce the contact with contemporary fine art practice students are encouraged to examine examples in the School of Art Collections of photographs. This module is intended for those students who wish to practice and study photography as a main option in their degree scheme. There is also an introduction into colour photography and processing.
Aims
