On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
Identify the main reasons for, and challenges to life cycle approaches to evaluating value chains
Match appropriate evaluation tools to value chains they could be used to assess
Brief description
This module provides students with a technical introduction to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Students will gain an understanding of concepts of Value Chains and identify tools suitable for assessing them
Content
Through a series of online lectures, guided reading and quizzes, students will explore:
- Value Chains, Circular Economies & Life Cycle Approaches to evaluation
- The uses and focus of different tools for evaluating Value Chains
- The main reasons for taking a life cycle approach to evaluating a Value Chain
