Brief description
This module consolidates business management, marketing, economics, business finance and tourism management skills in the framework of in-depth study of a topic selected by the student under the guidance of members of academic staff. Support is provided through lectures on research techniques, project management, managerial implications, workshops, seminars and supervision.
Content
No set syllabus. The lectures, seminars and workshops provide general guidance on research design and methodology. The topic for the research project can be drawn from any area of economics, finance, business and management, marketing or tourism management, provided that there is suitable and sufficient reading material available, and a member of staff is available to supervise in the chosen area of study. The topic is chosen in consultation with the module coordinator and other members of staff at the start of the academic year.
