Aims
To provide frameworks to identify and plan for employability aspirations.
Provide an understanding of the importance of recording and reflecting upon skills, goals and achievements in a structured way and provide opportunity of demonstrating this.
Brief description
This is a personal development module that aims to establish good academic skills at the commencement of the period of study and also develop students' understanding of their employability skills and aspirations within the degree scheme. Students will gain an opportunity to engage in self-reflection, action planning and reviewing and to develop key academic and transferable skills which will enable them to make the most of their degree scheme, their placement opportunities and their academic study. Through the development of these skills and opportunities at the beginning of the course, the students will have been adequately prepared for their own personal development throughout their period of study.
