Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this module students should be able to:
Understand the role of risk assessment in business planning
Identify and assess various sources of business and scientific risk
Evaluate risk management strategies
Apply risk management tools and techniques
Assess the importance and impact of regulatory regimes on business unit performance
Content
A series of 40 lectures and seminars
The aims of the module are:
To provide the student with a knowledge of the concepts and principles which are the building blocks of risk and regulations management and to build students’ ability/skills to allow them to approach and analyse a variety of risk and regulations issues and problems
It will achieve this by considering, for example, the following areas:
• Introduction to risk management
• The risk management process,
• The risk treatment plans,
• Risk management framework
• How to run an ERM risk assessment workshop
• Good risk management
The aims of the module are:

Brief description
Risk and Regulations Management course discusses the issues of risk principles, risk management processes, theories, risk identification tools and techniques both quantitative and qualitative aspects, risk evaluation and monitoring.
