Your comment: I would like Hospitality to reconsider their lunch menu options (12-2 pm menu) this year. They are not as varied as what was available last year, sometimes the options are way too similar to each other or very close to items that were served the day before. There are also days where the only Halal option is a Vegan meal or a meal that is not as filling as the other options.

Our response:

Thank you for providing feedback on this year's menu. I would like to address some of the key points you've raised.

This year, we have made every effort to be as inclusive as last year with the halal options. Most days, there are at least 2 to 3 halal options available, and over 75% of the vegetarian and vegan options are halal, with around 60% of the meat options also being halal.

Unfortunately, due to price constraints and supplier issues, we are unable to provide halal options every day for the carvery, but once a week there is halal half chickens on the carvery.

For the value meal, there are always two halal options available: Ramen chicken and tofu and a couple of times a week the main value meal is too.

In addition, there are some pastries in the coffee shop are halal, and we offer a selection of sandwiches with both vegetarian and meat options that are halal.

We strive to accommodate everyone from different religious groups, as well as individuals with various allergens.

I have also had to be inclusive of other religious groups who do not want to eat halal meat this year after having their feedback.

We have tried to keep the menu inclusive to everyone this year were possible.

We have been making a lot of dishes without wine and using vinegar were possible to accommodate, but some dishes can not be changed in the same way without losing their flavour profile.

We will also make sure there are extra Halal options for grab and go available each day in the coffee shop
