Your comment: Drink prices in the SU, if brought down more people would go! It’s better selling lots of product for a small margin than nothing trying to get a big margin!

Our response:

Thank you for your feedback. We set our prices for drinks etc in the SU bar each summer for the next academic year based on a number of factors including product cost, comparisons with bars in town and other universities, and the need to make enough profit margin to pay the staff’s Real Living Wage costs. That said we have run various discounted price offers to help mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and have been very encouraged by the increase in use of the bar since these were introduced. We are currently looking at new offers for January to continue to make our prices attractive to students and keep the bar busy.
