What a feeling! Flashdance explodes onto stage

Flashdance – The Musical explodes onto stage at Aberystwyth Arts Centre this evening (Wednesday 16 August), for the first of a run of performances lasting until Saturday 2 September.
Based on the iconic 1983 film, the stage show tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of 18 year old Alex, a welder by day and ‘flashdancer’ by night, who dreams of going to the prestigious Shipley Dance Academy and becoming a professional dancer. When a romance complicates her ambitions, she harnesses it to drive her dream.
Flashdance is an inspiring musical about the power of holding onto your dreams and love against all the odds.
Prepare to be blown away with an astonishing musical spectacle and phenomenal choreography to an iconic score which includes the smash hits Maniac, Manhunt, Gloria, I Love Rock & Roll and the sensational title track Flashdance... What a Feeling.
Starring Joanne Clifton from BBC Strictly Come Dancing and singer-songwriter Ben Adams, the show runs from Wednesday 16 August to Saturday 2 September at Aberystwyth Arts Centre.
Evening performances will be held from Tuesdays to Saturdays at 7.30pm, with an extra Sunday performance at 6pm on 27 August. Matinee performances take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 2.30pm. The matinee on Saturday 19 August is a British Sign Language signed show.
The show is produced by the award winning team at Selladoor Productions - producers of Footloose, Avenue Q and Little Shop of Horrors and Runaway Entertainment – producers of In The Heights, Guys and Dolls and Lazarus, Flashdance - The Musical is not to be missed!
