Aberystwyth University has climbed 14 places in the latest The Times / The Sunday Times Good University Guide which is published on Sunday 20 September.
No university has improved more than Aberystwyth in this year’s The Times / The Sunday Times league table, up from 93 to 79, and only five institutions have climbed more than 10 places.
Earlier this week Aberystwyth climbed into the top 550 in the World (up as many as 149 places) in the latest QS World University Rankings and 52nd in the UK.
Professor John Grattan, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Student Experience and International said: “For the second time this week we have seen the excellent work to improve the student experience here at Aberystwyth University reflected in our league table standings.
“Over the past 8 months we have seen the 2014 Research Excellence Framework establish the University firmly within the top 50 in the UK for research impact; and our overall employability rate has increased by 6 percentage points.
“This year’s National Student Survey showed that the University has made good progress in areas identified for improvement by students, and a significant investment has been made in learning and teaching quality and resources enhancement over the past three years.
“We firmly believe that the University, along with the town of Aberystwyth, offers one of the best student learning environments anywhere in the World and we look forward to building on these latest successes.”
