02 February 2015

The attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in January sparked worldwide protests and debates about where the lines should be drawn when it comes to exercising and defending the right to the freedom of speech.

Join staff from the Department of International Politics to consider some of the implications of this event and how we might interpret them.

Speakers will be Professor Richard Beardsworth, Dr Madeline Carr, Professor Andrew Linklater, Dr Sergey Radchenko and Dr James Vaughan.

The discussion takes place in the Main Hall at the Department of International Politics, 6-7.30pm on Monday, 2 February 2015.

All welcome.
