27 January 2015

On Tuesday 27 January 2015, Aberystwyth will host one of six special Dr Who events which are organised with BAFTA Cymru, BBC Cymru Wales and Film Hub Wales.

The Aberystwyth event features a special screening of the classic feature length story THE FIVE DOCTORS, followed by a special Q&A featuring Terrance Dicks, Writer and Script editor on Doctor Who and Wendy Padbury, who played the Doctor's companion Zoe Heriot during the Patrick Troughton era.

There will also be an opportunity to see real props from the popular series as a Dalek, a Cyberman and the TARDIS visit the Arts Centre (you can see them prior to the event in the theatre foyer from 6.30pm onwards)!

The Five Doctors celebrated 25 years of Doctor Who with a story that brought together not only five incarnations of the Doctor, but a host of his best known companions including Liz, Zoe, Jamie, Susan,  Tegan, Turlough and Sarah Jane Smith.

The Timelords call on The Master to help when the past incarnations of the Doctor are taken out of time to the Death Zone on the planet Gallifrey, where they find themselves amongst their deadliest enemies: Cybermen, Yeti and (of course) the Daleks!

Presented by Aberystwyth Arts Centre in partnership with BAFTA Cymru, BBC Cymru Wales and Film Hub Wales as part of a series of six Monster themed Doctor Who events throughout Wales.
