Arts Centre refurbishment
Aberystwyth Art Centre
03 June 2010
Aberystwyth Arts Centre will be getting a face‐lift during June, as they say goodbye to wellworn carpets and furniture and replace them with lovely new ones! A new wooden floor will be installed throughout the building, café and bar seats and tables with be replaced by snazzy new ones, and new sofas and chairs will appear too.
The Arts Centre is aiming to stay open throughout the period, and will try to implement the work with as minimum a disruption to the regular programme of activities as possible. But during June there is no doubt that access to the many facilities will be affected at some point, and alternative ‘ways in’ are being arranged. Customers are advised to allow for a little extra time when coming to come to an event that and if they have any specific concerns or questions, to please check when booking tickets. There will be plenty of signs to lead visitors through all the different access points so follow the arrows!
The Arts Centre is asking that customers please bear with them whilst this work is underway. But be assured that whatever the situation, ‘the show will go on’! Work starts on the 7th June and will run to early July, and is being undertaken in phases to minimise disruption to events already programmed.
The project has received funding through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007‐2013 which is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
